Drop out of college for success?

Related to the higher education bubble is this news item about the Thiel Foundation encouraging high schoolers to drop out of school or skip college and instead start their own tech company. Also related is this article by Scott Adams (creator of Dilbert) about what he thinks is real education.

As we formulate our vision, we should also think about the how the iSchool should be of real value to its students - e.g., do the separate specialized degrees with fewer credits have higher value or does a unified single degree with more credits provide higher value? should we focus on the BS program or should we focus on the MS programs which rely on the reducing numbers of folks (already having a BS degree) who are still willing to spend even more on education (especially with the increased perception of reduced value from higher education)?
